How Nigeria Humanitarian Fund Supported 720,000 People in 2023 – Report

The Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) says it touched the lives of seven hundred and twenty thousand (720,000) people in desperate need of aid in 2023.

According to the NHF’s 2023 annual report, the Fund, managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), targeted the most vulnerable in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States, with humanitarian aid.

The reports stressed that the beneficiaries are brocken down thus: Borno- 437,000, Adamawa -115,000, and Yobe – 167,000.

The NHF operates as a Country-Based Pooled Fund (CBPF). It collects unearmarked contributions from donors and allocates resources based on the most critical needs identified in the Humanitarian needs and Response Plan (HNRP).
