Uphold core values of Nigeria Police Force – Jigawa CP bids farewell to officers

Outgoing Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP A.T. Abdullahi, has urged officers to continue upholding the core principles of the Nigeria Police Force.

He made this appeal during a farewell conference held in his honour to mark the conclusion of his distinguished service.

In his farewell speech, CP Abdullahi expressed deep gratitude to the officers and personnel of the Command for their steadfast support, professionalism, and dedication during his time in office. He praised their joint efforts in fighting crime and maintaining peace and security throughout the state.

He attributed the successes recorded during his tenure to the teamwork within the Command and the consistent backing from the Jigawa State Government, other security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil society groups, the media, and the people of Jigawa State.

Encouraging officers to remain committed, he stressed the need to uphold the Police Force’s core values, foster unity, and remain disciplined. He also highlighted the importance of intelligence-driven policing and respecting human rights in the course of duty.

“I sincerely appreciate the support from every officer. I encourage you all to build upon the solid foundation we have established,” he said.

In tributes from senior officers across various divisions, CP Abdullahi was described as a visionary, a disciplinarian, and a reform-oriented leader who introduced impactful reforms that strengthened the Command’s operational effectiveness.
