AFCON 2023: 17 Super Eagles players hit camp, hold first training today

Seventeen members of the Super Eagles have arrived at the Abu Dhabi camp in the United Arab Emirates to commence preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The team is set to engage in its first training session tonight.

Head coach Jose Peseiro, along with his assistants, were the initial arrivals on Tuesday night, with the rest of the players expected to join later in the day. Before the official competition, the Super Eagles are scheduled to play a friendly against either Burkina Faso or Guinea.

The players will spend a week in Abu Dhabi before heading to Abidjan for the 2023 AFCON finals. The list of players currently in camp includes Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Olorunleke Ojo, Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Cavin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Bruno Onyemaechi, Chidozie Awaziem, Zaidu Sanusi, Victor Boniface, Bright Onyedika, and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
