AFCON 2023: Peseiro worried with Super Eagles lack of cutting edge

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, emphasizes the need for his team to start scoring goals if they are to achieve their goal of winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. During the group stage, the Super Eagles managed only three goals, two from open play and one from a penalty, and missed several clear-cut opportunities, particularly in their first two matches of the tournament.

Now that they have secured a place in the Round of 16, Peseiro anticipates increased challenges in the competition. He views this stage as a new phase, emphasizing the critical nature of knockout matches.
