On Saturday, Nigerian singer Yemi Alade took the stage at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast. The event unfolded at the Stade Olympique Alessane Ouattara in Abidjan.
Yemi Alade collaborated with Egyptian rapper Mohamed Ramadan and the group Magic System to produce the official song for AFCON 2023, titled ‘AKWAABA.’
Earlier, Alade had shared the news of her participation in the ceremony, and her performance was part of the opening festivities. The official song, ‘AKWAABA,’ was performed live during the event.
