All Delta PDP Reps defect to APC

All House of Representatives members from Delta State elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have officially switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The announcement was made by House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during Tuesday’s plenary session.

This mass defection follows the earlier moves by former Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the current governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who both left the PDP for the APC during a recent stakeholders’ meeting in Asaba.

In response to these developments, Ikenga Ugochinyere, the representative for Ideato Federal Constituency in Imo State, revealed that two additional state governors and 40 PDP lawmakers are also preparing to defect.

Meanwhile, former Senate President Bukola Saraki responded to the wave of defections by reaffirming his confidence in the PDP’s ability to rebuild, stating that anyone wishing to leave is free to do so.
