On Wednesday, a Federal High Court in Abuja directed the incarceration of Olu Agunloye, former Minister of Power and Steel, at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had brought charges against the ex-minister related to alleged fraudulent activities in the Mambilla Power Project. Appearing before the Federal High Court in Abuja, Agunloye entered a plea of not guilty to the charges. Nevertheless, the judge mandated his detention in the correctional centre until the resolution of his bail application.
