The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Dass/Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as the Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC).
In a statement issued by Rabiu Garba on behalf of 27 APC stakeholders, the group described Dogara’s appointment as well-deserved, timely, and based on merit.
“Rt Hon. Yakubu Dogara’s appointment reflects our belief in his unwavering loyalty to the APC, its leaders, and his constituents,” the statement noted.
The stakeholders highlighted Dogara’s consistent contributions to advancing the party’s progressive values and noted that he has never failed to support its growth.
They further praised his tenure as Speaker of the 8th Assembly, crediting him with foundational legislative reforms, including the passage of over 300 bills and more than 1,000 resolutions. Notable achievements under his leadership included the creation of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB), and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill.
The group expressed confidence that Dogara’s experience and credibility will strengthen the NCGC’s role in expanding credit access for small businesses and middle-income earners.
