Bandits’ informant nabbed with stolen cow in Kaduna market

An individual believed to be an informant for bandits, known only as Dan Abba, was apprehended by vigilantes at Bishini village market in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State while in possession of a stolen cow.

According to a report by Daily Trust, Ahmadu Sajo, a resident of Azzara, a neighboring village to Bishini, recounted that the incident occurred last Thursday when the suspect attempted to sell a stolen cow at the market.

Sajo stated that the suspect was suspected of collaborating with bandits, who had recently kidnapped herders and stolen their cattle in areas such as Kuchimi, Haying-Dam, and the Gidan-Makeri vicinity of Kagarko town.

He clarified that local troops had identified the suspect as one of the individuals on the run, wanted for questioning. The suspect’s luck ran out when he was apprehended with a stolen cow at the village market.

Furthermore, Sajo revealed that the suspect had been handed over to the troops along with the stolen cow.

“There was suspicion among the vigilantes that the cow brought by the suspect to the market might have been one of those stolen two weeks prior in a village in Kagarko LGA,” he added.
