Bauchi Gov Flags Off N7bn State’s Assembly Modernisation Project

The Bauchi State House of Assembly has become one of the latest beneficiaries of Governor Bala Mohammed’s Urban Renewal Programme, with the launch of a N7 billion renovation, remodeling, and upgrade project.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony held in Bauchi on Tuesday, Governor Mohammed stated that the initiative falls under his administration’s broader urban renewal agenda.

He noted that the Abubakar Umar Secretariat, which houses various state Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), had also undergone renovation to create a more suitable working environment for public and civil servants, who play a vital role in governance.

The governor further explained that all local government secretariats across the state have been rebuilt and equipped with essential tools and machinery to enhance service delivery at the grassroots level.

He also highlighted the ongoing expansion of the State High Court complex and the awarding of contracts for the completion of 12 new magistrate courts, aimed at strengthening the judiciary’s capacity to fulfill its duties effectively.
