Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has expressed satisfaction with the Court of Appeal’s verdict that upheld his election. In a post on his verified social media account, Mohammed described the judgment as a confirmation of his unwavering commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the citizens.
He called on opposition parties in the state to come together and support the #NewBauchiProject, aimed at revitalizing the state. The governor expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State Peoples Democratic Party leadership and his supporters, stating that the victory belongs to everyone. Mohammed promised to lead with excellence and invited all to contribute to scripting a new era for Bauchi State characterized by progress, unity, and prosperity.
The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, affirmed Mohammed’s victory as the Governor of Bauchi, following a legal challenge by the All Progressives Congress candidate, Sadique Abubakar. The tribunal and, subsequently, the Court of Appeal both upheld Mohammed’s win in the gubernatorial election.
