Karim Benzema, the former Real Madrid striker, has addressed speculations about his future amid reported interest from Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
The Frenchman, who recently joined Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League six months ago from Real Madrid, is rumored to be departing the club. However, Benzema has now spoken out about his future, categorically stating that the reports are untrue.
Expressing his frustration, the Ballon d’Or winner criticized the French media for fabricating stories, stating, “It is completely false! The French media don’t know what to invent any more. The bigger, the better,” as quoted by The Mirror.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Benzema emphasized that the reports are not accurate, refuting any plans to leave Al-Ittihad. In the current season, he has contributed with 12 goals and five assists across various competitions for the Saudi Pro League side.
