Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has reportedly died in a car accident in Spain, according to Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old was said to be traveling with his brother, Andre, when their vehicle veered off the road along the A-52 highway in the Zamora province.
Jota’s tragic death comes just two weeks after he married his long-time partner, Rute Cardoso, in a ceremony held in Porto.
He recently contributed to Liverpool’s Premier League title win in May, during Arne Slot’s debut season as manager.
More details are expected as the story develops.
