Four individuals lost their lives in Bauchi State due to a stampede during a zakat distribution for the needy. The incident occurred around 10 am at the headquarters of Shafa Holdings Company plc along Jos Road on Sunday.
A 17-year-old named Naima Abdullahi is currently undergoing medical treatment at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi. Ahmed Wakili, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed the occurrence, stating that the situation had been stabilized at the time of his report.
He mentioned that the police promptly responded to the news, and the police commissioner urged the public to remain calm.
