Dana Air plane crash-lands in Lagos

A Dana Air plane, bearing registration number 5N BKI, experienced a runway excursion upon landing at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed airport while en route from Abuja on Tuesday morning. The airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Kingsley Ezenwa, confirmed that all 83 passengers and crew members onboard emerged unscathed. Ezenwa expressed gratitude that the passengers and crew safely disembarked without incident, commending the crew’s professionalism.

The airline promptly notified pertinent authorities of the occurrence, including the AIB and NCAA, and grounded the aircraft for thorough investigation by its maintenance team. Ezenwa extended appreciation to the airport authorities and crew for their prompt actions facilitating passengers’ safe disembarkation.
