EFCC declares Kano man wanted for alleged financial crimes

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Rabiu Auwalu Tijjani, a Kano resident, wanted for his alleged involvement in financial crimes.

The announcement was made on Friday through a wanted notice shared via the EFCC’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

According to the notice, Tijjani is being sought in connection with allegations of conspiracy, fraud through false pretence, and money laundering totaling $1,931,700.12 (over 1.9 million US dollars).

The EFCC identified him as 43 years old and a native of Dala Local Government Area in Kano State. His last known address is 59 Murtala Muhammed Way, Kano.

The commission urged anyone with relevant information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest EFCC office, call 08093322644, send an email to info@efcc.gov.ng, or contact the closest police station or security agency.

The notice, signed by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, called on the public to assist in locating Tijjani.
