Federal High Court Goes On Easter Vacation April 8

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Honorable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has approved April 8 to 25 as Easter holiday for the judicial workers of the court.

The two-week Easter vacation was granted pursuant to the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (b) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedures) Rules, 2019 (as amended).

A statement by the Chief Information Officer of the court, Dr Catherine Oby Christopher, indicated that the Easter vacation will commence from Friday, the 8th day of April 2022 to Monday, the 25th day of April 2022.

The statement, issued on Sunday in Abuja, disclosed that courts will resume in all judicial divisions on Tuesday, the 26th of April, 2022.

During the vacation, Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt judicial divisions will remain open to the public for cases of extreme urgency.

The Abuja division will handle cases from the Federal Capital Territory, North Central, North West and North-Eastern parts of the country.

The Lagos division will be for cases from Lagos State and the South Western states while the Port-Harcourt division will handle cases from the South-South and South-Eastern states.

According to the statement, the Abuja division will during the period, have Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed and Justice Nkeonye Evelyn Maha as vacation judges.

The Lagos division is to have Justice Tijjani Ringim and Justice A. O. Awogboro on duties while the Port Harcourt division will have Justice A. T. Mohammed and Justice S. I. Mark as vacation judges.
