The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has indicated his desire to stay on with the team, expressing his intentions while commenting on the latest FIFA rankings.
Following Nigeria’s rise of 14 places in the rankings on Thursday, they now sit at 28th in the world. With their commendable performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Eagles have become the third-ranked team on the continent, trailing only Morocco and Senegal.
Despite currently being without a contract after the AFCON tournament, Peseiro shared a tweet suggesting his ambition for the team to claim the top spot in Africa.
