Reports indicate the demise of Rt Hon Anayo Nnebe, the former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, who was also a member of the House of Representatives. The lawmaker passed away at the age of 61. Although there has been no official announcement of his death from his family, a source revealed that the former Speaker succumbed to a brief illness at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital in Nnewi.
The source further mentioned that a family meeting is scheduled to take place before an official press release concerning his death is issued. The late former lawmaker hailed from Umuokpu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
