FT Lists X3M Ideas Among Africa’s Fastest-growing Companies

Advertising agency X3M Ideas has been recognized on the Financial Times of London’s 2025 list of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies.

The Financial Times praised X3M Ideas for its remarkable growth over a three-year span, ranking the agency 31st out of 130 companies. This achievement places X3M Ideas among a select group of African businesses that have shown exceptional innovation, resilience, and consistent expansion despite operating in a tough business climate.

Now in its fourth edition, the Financial Times ranking, developed in partnership with global research firm Statista, offers a data-driven look at high-growth companies across Africa. The list is widely regarded as a trusted benchmark for business momentum in emerging markets.

The ranking evaluates companies based on Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) between 2020 and 2023, using verified financial data submitted and signed by top executives. Because many of Africa’s rapidly growing companies are privately owned and don’t release detailed financials, the selection process is strict to ensure credibility.

This year’s list also considered revenue growth and workforce expansion to provide a well-rounded picture of corporate growth. As in previous editions, Nigeria and South Africa dominated the list, accounting for 79 of the 130 companies, highlighting the economic influence and entrepreneurial activity within these two nations.

However, the Financial Times noted that the list also reflects the challenges businesses in smaller African countries face in scaling up and gaining continental visibility, given the fragmented nature of the market.

X3M Ideas’ inclusion on the list signals both its upward trajectory and its role in shaping Africa’s advertising and creative industry.
