Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed that she does not perceive her two unsuccessful marriages as “failures.” During an interview with Wazobia FM in Lagos, Akindele shared that her perspective on failure is influenced by her mother’s teachings, emphasizing that without failure, success cannot be achieved.
Akindele indicated that she approaches marriage with a mindset of taking it as it comes, highlighting the significance of her mental health and career. She underscored that her main priorities are leading an impactful life and providing for her children and siblings.
When reflecting on the concept of failure, Akindele stated, “If you ask me now, can you tell me one failure, I don’t see it as a failure. My personal life – marriage, I just take it as it comes. My mental health is very important. My career is very important, darling.” She emphasized the need to stay strong for her family and maintain a sense of purpose in her life. Despite moments of distress, Akindele expressed her determination to keep moving forward.
