Kwankwaso unfolds NNPP manifestos in Lagos

The Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People Party, NNPP, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso, says the party is determined to solve various challenges facing the country, if elected next year.

Senator Kwankwaso stated this in Lagos when he met with the Nigeria Guild of Editors to shed more light on his presidential manifestos and developmental blue print.

The former Governor of Kano State promised to reposition the country towards greatness where all citizens would maximise their potential and live in peace and unity.

Senator Kwankwaso, who was former Minister of Defence, promised to rejig the nation’s security architecture by increasing the number of personnel of the Nigeria Police and Armed Forces to at least one million each.

He said this would provide enough manpower to tackle the deteriorating security situation in the country and provide job opportunities for the youths that would be recruited into the security forces.

Senator Kwankwaso assured that the NNPP administration would back restructuring to bring about equity, good governance, security, resource control and other indices of development.

Senator Kwankwaso also promised to take care of out-of-school children across the country through the construction of more schools in the 774 local government areas.

Earlier, the President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, Mr Mustapha Isah explained that the forum was designed to provide candidates the opportunity to brief Editors their policies and programmes ahead of the General Elections.

Mr Isah urged the Candidates to call on their supporters to focus on issues affecting the masses, rather than attack on personalities

He also advised the presidential candidates to call their spokespersons to order, saying that some of their press statements and interviews were capable of heating up the polity.

President of Nigeria Guild of Editors further advocated the need for presidential spokespersons to also sign a peace accord just like their presidential candidates.
