Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit links over 900 businesses

The Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa says over 900 business links have been established since the commencement of the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit, NDIS.

She stated this in Abuja at a press briefing ahead of the fifth Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit 2022.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa explained that with the successes recorded by NDIS, it has become a leading business networking event for connecting Nigerian business owners and NGO operators with Nigerian Diaspora-based investors.

She explained that by participating in previous summit’s many investors have been inspired to start their own businesses while some investors had tripled their stake in the country based on the insights gathered from the summit.

The NiDCOM chairman explained that this year’s summit which would be declared open by the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo demonstrates, that targeting the Diaspora is a highly effective strategy for attracting investment into the emerging diversified Nigerian economy.

The Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit is a private sector initiative supported by the Federal Government through the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NiDCOM with the aim of targeting Nigerians in Diaspora for inward investment as the best strategy for the nation.
