Prominent Imo State politician, His Eminence, Apostle-General Aaron Onyedikachi Awuzie, will be buried on Saturday in his ancestral home of Agwa, Oguta Local Government Area.
“The remains of the traditional prime minister of Uwaorie-Agwa Autonomous Community, the Ikemba 1 of Oguta Local Government Area and member of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim will be moved from Aladinma Mortuary to his hometown, Umuifoegbuleihe, Umuomi-Oguta on Saturday, November 27, 2021 for people to pay their last respects’’ the family announced on Tuesday morning.
Honourable Aaron Onyedikachi Awuzie, 82, was a member of the Imo State Elders Council and Commissioner in Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC),
‘’Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Imo State Deputy Governor, Chief Aloysius Irona, member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency, Hon Kingsley Uju and the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie will be in Oguta for the funeral’’ a statement by the eldest son of the late Apostle-General, Hon Chinedu Moses Awuzie, said.
The burial is expected to be the biggest gathering of international, state and national faces in Oguta Local Government Area.
“Chairman, ISOPADEC Board, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dele Odigbo, former Minister of State for Education, Professor A. G. Anwukah, the Minority Leader, Imo State House of Assembly, Honourable Frank Ugboma, the Interim Management Committee Chairman, Oguta Local Government, Hon Emma Mazi, the Managing Director, Frank and Gene, Hon Eugene Dibiagwu, former Imo State Commissioner for Justice, Barrister M. O. Nlemedim, former Imo State Accountant General, Deacon Donald Igbo, the Board, Management and Staff of ISOPADEC are attending the funeral of the astute politician’’.
The Prelate and Baba Aladura of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, His Most Eminence, Elder (Dr.) David Bob Manuel (Orimolade viii), Secretary to the Holy Order of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, His Eminence, Dr. Napo Emuchay, the Chairman, CMC 8 of ESOCS, His Eminence, Elder Fafowora, , the Secretary, CMC 8 of ESOCS, Senior Apostle John Afokwalam, all the provincial chairmen, secretaries and PCMCs of CMC8, all members of ESOCS, Agwa, close family, relatives and friends of the famous politician will attend the ceremony in Agwa.
‘’On Friday, November 26, 2021, a service of songs will be held at Awuzie’s compound, Umuomi, Agwa from 4; 00pm. A social night (Feast of Praise will begin from 9; 00pm at Umuomi Agwa Primary School Field. The remains of Chief Awuzie will be interred on Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Umuomi Agwa after lying-in-state at his compound and funeral service by The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim & Seraphim. A thanksgiving service will take place at 9; 00am on Sunday, November 28, 2021’’ the statement added.
