Malik Ado-Ibrahim, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has criticized the makeup of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, urging the Nigerian president to reorganize his team.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Ado-Ibrahim argued that President Tinubu has struggled to bring his vision to life due to the inadequacy of the individuals he has appointed.
“In my view, much of the president’s current cabinet needs to be overhauled. They’ve had their time,” he said.
He emphasized that no one holds a monopoly on knowledge and that there are more capable individuals who could better serve in key positions.
“My belief is that the cabinet should be refreshed. People need to see a government they can trust. It’s not enough to assign someone a title—like Minister of Health—and expect things to work. What’s needed are competent administrators who can deliver on specific plans,” he added.
