Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda working in Abuja – Wike insists

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has affirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding positive results in the nation’s capital.

He made this assertion during an inspection of the ongoing construction of the 7.3-kilometer Gaba-Tokulo road in Bwari Area Council and the 5km temporary access road from the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) to the old Keffi road in AMAC, also known as Saburi road.

Wike acknowledged the challenges posed by the rugged terrain in Bwari Area Council and recent security threats but emphasized that hope has been restored to the council through the ongoing construction of the crucial Gaba-Tokulo road.

Furthermore, he reassured that the 5km temporary access road from ONEX to the old Keffi road in AMAC, which generated significant excitement upon its commencement, would also be completed within the year.

The Minister highlighted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda extends beyond the FCT city center, aiming to ensure that rural communities also benefit from governance.

He emphasized the FCT Administration’s commitment to constructing rural roads across all six Area Councils, aiming to provide essential infrastructure to residents in those areas.

Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress, stating, “I’m very glad to say that the Renewed Hope Agenda is working, particularly as it concerns the Area Councils. The renewed hope agenda is not only for the cities. It’s also to make sure that those in the rural areas feel part of the administration.”

He further assured that all ongoing projects in the six Area Councils would be completed before the end of the year and reiterated the administration’s commitment to initiating infrastructure projects in 2024.

In conclusion, Wike expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in his administration and for the unwavering support given to the FCT Administration, affirming that the Renewed Hope Agenda is being effectively implemented.
