We won’t bow to intimidation – PDP governors dare Tinubu, APC

Former Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has stated that he holds no resentment over the political developments of 2023, affirming that he sustained no personal harm during that period.

Speaking at his residence in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa Local Government Area, during a meeting with political leaders and stakeholders from the Ukwa-La-Ngwa bloc spanning nine local governments, Ikpeazu addressed calls for him to assume leadership of the group.

Expressing heartfelt appreciation for the show of support, he made it clear that he harbored no ill will over the setbacks experienced in 2023.

“I bear no grudge against anyone,” Ikpeazu said. “There was no personal damage done to me. What occurred was merely a setback to our shared goal of building an inclusive Abia State where everyone has a sense of belonging.”

He also voiced concern that the people of Ukwa-La-Ngwa still feel marginalized under the current administration but assured them of his readiness to take on the leadership role entrusted to him.

Earlier, Don Ubani, a former Information Commissioner in the state, praised Ikpeazu as a unifying figure, saying leaders from various political backgrounds within the Ukwa-La-Ngwa bloc see him as a worthy leader.
