Widows in Ezinhitte Mbaise LGA were filled with joy, as they thanked God with songs of praises for the relief packages delivered to them on Easter Monday by CFE Foundation.
The event which was earlier scheduled to hold at Ezinhitte school compound was later moved to a smaller compound due to the weather as beneficiaries came out to pick their packages.
It was the first day of the 3-days event as 20kg branded bags of rice, noodles, tin-tomatoes and bottles of groundnut oil were generously distributed among the widows in Ezinhitte this Easter season to give them a sense of belonging.
The widows were filled with joy; as they resolved to singing praises, thanking CFE Foundation for their initiative and the magnanimity shown on them during this Easter season.
The day two event continues on April 19 in Mbieri were widows in that location will also
have an opportunity to get their own share, before the final day which will hold in Mbano LGA on the 20th of April.
CFE Foundation is poised towards meeting up with one of its objectives of putting smiles on the faces of women, this particular event is one of such programmes designed to live up to that.
