El-Rufa’i wants first 12 years of education free

Kaduna state governor Malam Nasiru El-Rufa’i, has urged the National Assembly to make local governments autonomous and flexible.

Governor El-Rufa’i was speaking at the 2022 distinguished parliamentarians’ lecture taking place at the International Conference Center Abuja.

He also advised the National Assembly to enact legislation that would make the first 12 years of education free and compulsory in Nigeria.

According to the Kaduna state governor, there’s also an urgent need for the National Assembly to enact state and community policing systems and also reform the nation’s tax system.

The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan, described the legislature as the most misunderstood, especially by the common man.
