A key figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Daniel Bwala, has expressed concern that President Bola Tinubu’s current administration might follow a pattern similar to his predecessor. Bwala pointed out that Nigerians were previously urged to be patient for eight years during the Buhari administration, which, according to him, achieved very little or nothing at all.
Speaking on Channels TV on Monday, Bwala, who served as the spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in the 2023 elections, highlighted that Tinubu has already utilized 31.8 percent of his first term but has seemingly only exacerbated the hardships faced by Nigerians during this period.
Bwala emphasized the importance of assessing the timeframe within which public officials are expected to execute their duties when advocating for patience. He noted that President Tinubu, eight months into his four-year term, has completed 31.8 percent of his total tenure. Drawing parallels with the previous administration, Bwala cautioned against blindly waiting for positive outcomes when fundamental policy issues persist.
He stressed the need for tangible results and criticized the reliance on rhetoric, urging a focus on practical achievements. Bwala conveyed the weariness of Nigerians with prolonged discussions on subjects like English, Mathematics, Economics, Science, and Technology, emphasizing the desire to witness concrete progress and accomplishments.
